It can be done, but it is not really how the dog looks, so why do it? I suppose if you wanted to you could for a party (like a halloween party), but then you would just have to wash it out again. Pet Groomers that dye dogs use a special dye made for dogs. If you wanted to do it at home as a temporary costume, use unsweetened jello powder or unsweetened kool-aid.

well, yes it can be done, and the dog probably won’t notice, but I don’t understand why people dye their dogs. What’s wrong with his color now? If you were to get him dyed, though, make sure that it is done at a reputable groomer. They use dog safe dyes that won’t make him sick.

But are you crazy? You must paint yourself of black the head

You can do it at certain shops. The set back is that it cost a couple thousand dollars to do it. I believe its something like 5k-10 every four months

Yes, it can be done. I used to work at PetSmart, and one of the groomers there always had her poodle dyed hot pink or purple (and it was a male!) She said she did it because all the kids (customers at the store) loved it. The dog didn’t seem to mind it a bit.

I am sure it CAN be done. I’ve seen one dyed hot pink. Whether or not it is safe and healthy for a dog is another matter. Also, I doubt the dog would like it, as mine doesn’t even like a bath. Why on earth would someone want to DYE their pets a different color, anyway?

it is very fashionable now in my town to have a pet dog dyed in a fluorescent bright colour, this also helps spot the dog fast anywhere.
We have ours in 2 tone sectioned off in middle, orange and green., and we paid well for the hairdresser to.It also glows in the dark.

Sure it can – but of course should only be done with something that is not going to harm the dog.

Because dogs have been harmed by people dying their dogs with the wrong things, it is actually against the law in some places. Better check with the local regs before you pick a new color!

Yes it can be done but, personally I wouldn’t ever do it to my dogs.
I like my dogs just the way they are. I love their beautiful color and wouldn’t have them any other way.

Why do people do that? Your dog isn’t a fashion statement. It’s a dog. Dye your hair if you want to color something.
