Why is it that can be fed to pet snakes live animals?

I know that in the UK is illegal, but why is acceptable in the U.S.? people say it's okay because it's natural, but it's natural to kill a lion eating a zebra, but we do not throw in a live baby zebra in the habitat at the zoo with the lion (and sticking a snake in a cage to be lazy and sit around a lamp all day, more or less means nature does not mean much to you.) If someone was to feed your rabbit or chicken or something, live your dog would be seen as animal abuse. I would like that as in the UK, feeding frozen mice. So why all the animals eat snakes live for their food? Just want to add that rats not only eat live chickens also eat birds, pigs, pigs, and Genia bunnys
