Summer 2008 at Roger’s parents’ home.. so pretty! (and our dogs!)

Might want to turn your volume down a smidge with this one.. First off, let me say that I feel honored to live in such a beautiful part of the world (northern Sweden). While I will always be a desert chick (lived in different parts of it a lot of my life), I’ve become smitten with four seasons and green green green! Anyway, Pretty sure we were getting ready to head home after having a celebratory dinner/drinks because I see my son putting his shoes on at the end of this clip. He’s visited us 3x but never was here for Midsummer.. I think he liked it! He gave the vodka “skål!” a try but was not into it (smart for him!). It’s a tradition here and we engage like 3x yearly. Oh, and out of the seven Midsummers we have spent while living in Sweden, I believe we were only able to sit outside during one, perhaps two. Kind of like Wimbledon: You can pretty much count on some rain (I’m not complaining! Thanks, Kenneth and Berit, you are such good hosts. Btw, that is Kenneth (Roger’s dad) who is loading some things into our car near the end.. not sure what it was! Btw, that “party tent” at the bottom of their property is because they are emptying out a super-old house down there that’s been used for storage by many for years. The old house is falling apart and I think they are going to have it taken down. Ppl have stored stuff in it for a long time and the time has come to clear it out. They are considerate enough to erect the tent so things did not get wet until ppl could come …
